Pray and Act for Burma!
The Burma Advocacy Group was created in December 2021 by Burma Diaspora Baptist Conventions in the US and the American Baptist Churches. It now includes diaspora community groups and other allies to address concerns related to US policy regarding support for the democratic movement in Burma, immigration, humanitarian relief, and accountability for human rights abuses, especially those related to religious liberty. The Burma Advocacy Group is one of the few organizations addressing the persecution of Christians in Burma.
The military junta that overthrew the elected government of Burma in 2021, spent $3,000,000 this summer to hire a DC lobbying group to whitewash its horrible record on human rights and religious liberty and to dress it up to make it appear legitimate in the eyes of US policy makers. To counter them, we have only the voices of the Burma diaspora and its friends in the US.
What sets us apart from other advocacy groups?
